As Senior Vice President of Business Research and Reporting for Visa U.S.A., Wayne Best is responsible for business and financial
research for the American bankcard industry. In this capacity, he oversees studies concerning business and economic trends that affect
the credit and debit card programs of 17,000 Members in the United States.
Mr. Best is frequently invited to present at industry conferences and to executives at Member organizations on topical business
issues such as customer relationship management, changing trends in cardholder usage patterns, and account and transaction level
profitability. Mr. Best has also co-authored several industry white papers concerning the economics, cost performance and market
competitiveness of Visa Members.
Wayne Best has been with Visa since 1990. Prior to joining Visa, he spent nine years as a project manager for a consulting firm providing
economic and cost/benefit analyses to the power industry. He holds a B.S. in Nuclear Engineering from Arizona State University and an M.B.A.
in management from Golden Gate University in San Francisco.
